These Terms & Conditions apply to the booking services provided through motorhomenorway.com. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
By completing a booking through Motorhome Norway, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions together with the specific terms and conditions of the Rental Provider supplying your vehicle.
Motorhome Norway is a comparison and booking platform specialising in campervan and motorhome rentals in Norway.
We help you find, compare and book rental vehicles supplied by independent rental companies ("Rental Providers").
Motorhome Norway manages the booking process directly, including your reservation, payment and communication with the Rental Provider where necessary.
Motorhome Norway does not own, operate, maintain or inspect the rental vehicles offered through the website unless expressly stated otherwise.
The Rental Provider is the company that owns or supplies the vehicle.
Your booking agreement is with Motorhome Norway. Your rental agreement, covering the possession and use of the vehicle, is between you and the Rental Provider.
The Rental Provider's own terms and conditions therefore apply to matters including pick-up, drop-off, insurance, security deposits, vehicle condition, permitted use, damage, breakdowns and additional charges.
When you complete a booking through Motorhome Norway, you must provide complete and accurate information, including your rental dates, pick-up and drop-off locations, contact details and any driver information requested.
Once your booking has been successfully confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email from Motorhome Norway containing your booking reference, rental details and other important information.
Motorhome Norway reserves the right to cancel or amend a confirmed booking within 48 hours of confirmation, at no cost to you.
This review period allows us to correct issues such as incorrect dates, vehicle categories, availability problems, pricing inconsistencies or other booking errors.
If we cancel the booking under this 48-hour review right, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
You are responsible for checking your booking confirmation and notifying us promptly if any details are incorrect.
Errors reported after the 48-hour review period may result in additional charges or cancellation under the Rental Provider's terms.
A vehicle shown as available on our website is not guaranteed until the reservation has been confirmed.
Motorhome Norway may carry out reasonable fraud-prevention and payment verification checks in connection with a booking. Where we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent activity, misuse of a payment method or false booking information, we may request additional information or documentation.
If the required verification cannot be completed, we may decline or cancel the booking and refund any amount due in accordance with applicable law.
Driver requirements vary depending on the Rental Provider and vehicle selected.
The minimum driver age applicable to each vehicle will be shown during the booking process or otherwise communicated before confirmation.
All drivers must hold a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being rented.
Some Rental Providers may also require the licence to have been held for a minimum period.
Depending on the country in which your licence was issued, an International Driving Permit or additional documentation may also be required.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you and any additional drivers meet all applicable age, licence and identification requirements.
The Rental Provider may refuse to release the vehicle if these requirements are not met. In such circumstances, any refund will be subject to the Rental Provider's applicable cancellation terms.
Only drivers authorised under the rental agreement may drive the vehicle.
Prices displayed on Motorhome Norway are set by Motorhome Norway in coordination with the Rental Providers.
The total rental price and the amount payable when booking will be shown before you confirm your reservation.
Depending on the vehicle and Rental Provider, you may be required to pay either:
Where a balance remains outstanding, the amount and applicable payment deadline will be stated during the booking process or in your confirmation.
Payments are handled by Motorhome Norway through secure payment systems.
Motorhome Norway does not store your full card details outside those secure payment systems.
The booking information will state what is included in the rental price. Optional extras such as additional drivers, child seats, equipment or upgraded insurance may be subject to additional charges.
Some extras or local charges may be payable directly to the Rental Provider.
Prices may be displayed in the currency selected on our website. Where payment is processed in another currency, the final amount may vary slightly due to exchange-rate fluctuations or charges applied by your bank or card provider.
Any currency conversion shown on the website is for guidance only.
Most Rental Providers require a refundable security deposit or credit card pre-authorisation when the vehicle is collected.
This security deposit is separate from any amount paid to Motorhome Norway when making the booking.
The deposit amount, accepted payment methods and conditions for its release vary depending on the Rental Provider, vehicle and insurance option selected.
The applicable deposit amount will be shown in the vehicle information, Rental Provider terms or booking documentation where available.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have an accepted payment card with sufficient available funds at pick-up.
The security deposit is normally held directly by the Rental Provider, not Motorhome Norway.
The Rental Provider may deduct or retain amounts from the deposit in accordance with its terms, including for damage, insurance excess, fuel, cleaning, traffic fines, tolls, late return or other charges incurred during the rental.
The time required for a deposit or card pre-authorisation to be released may depend on the Rental Provider and your bank or card issuer.
Cancellation terms are set by the Rental Provider, not by Motorhome Norway.
Each Rental Provider has its own cancellation, modification and refund policy.
The policy applicable to your booking will be displayed during the booking process, included in your booking documentation or otherwise communicated before confirmation.
Some bookings may allow free cancellation up to a specified date, while others may apply a partial or full cancellation charge from the moment the reservation is confirmed.
By completing a booking, you accept the Rental Provider's applicable cancellation terms in addition to these Terms & Conditions.
Cancellations made after any applicable free cancellation period may be subject to a fee of up to 100% of the booking value.
If you fail to collect the vehicle at the agreed time without prior notice, the booking may be treated as a no-show and the full rental amount may be charged.
Unused rental days resulting from late collection or early return are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the Rental Provider's terms.
Requests to modify a confirmed booking should be made through Motorhome Norway.
Changes to dates, vehicle category, pick-up or drop-off location, drivers or extras are subject to availability and approval by the Rental Provider.
A modification may affect the total rental price.
Some Rental Providers may treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rates and conditions available at the time the change is requested.
Motorhome Norway cannot guarantee that a requested modification will be possible.
Insurance is provided by the Rental Provider or another third-party provider where applicable.
Most rental offers include a basic level of insurance or damage protection subject to an excess or deductible.
The coverage, excess and exclusions applicable to your rental will be shown during the booking process, included in the Rental Provider's terms or stated in the rental agreement.
Additional insurance or excess-reduction options may be available for an additional fee.
Standard insurance may exclude certain types of damage, including damage to tyres, windscreens, roofs, undercarriage, interiors or damage caused by prohibited use.
The exact exclusions depend on the Rental Provider and insurance product selected.
Motorhome Norway displays insurance information supplied by Rental Providers or third parties.
Motorhome Norway is not an insurer and does not underwrite insurance policies.
You are responsible for reviewing the applicable insurance conditions before confirming your booking or purchasing additional protection.
Vehicle images, makes, models, layouts, dimensions and specifications shown on the website are representative of the vehicle category offered.
Unless a particular make or model is expressly guaranteed, the Rental Provider may provide another vehicle within the same or a comparable category.
Where the booked vehicle becomes unavailable, the Rental Provider may provide a comparable replacement or an upgrade.
Interior layouts, equipment, model year and bed configuration may therefore differ from photographs or examples displayed online.
The vehicle must be collected and returned at the agreed locations, dates and times shown in your booking.
At pick-up, you may be required to present:
You should inspect the vehicle before departure and ensure that any existing damage is recorded according to the Rental Provider's procedure.
You are responsible for returning the vehicle in the condition required by the Rental Provider, allowing for normal wear and tear.
Fuel, cleaning, wastewater, toilet and equipment return requirements vary by Rental Provider.
Late returns or returns to an unauthorised location may result in additional charges.
When renting a vehicle through Motorhome Norway, you agree to provide accurate information and comply with Norwegian law and the Rental Provider's terms.
You are responsible for:
Unless expressly permitted by the Rental Provider, the vehicle must not be driven by an unauthorised person, used for unlawful purposes, sub-rented, used to carry passengers or goods for payment or driven in a manner prohibited under the rental agreement.
The number of passengers must not exceed the vehicle's legal capacity.
You are responsible for selecting a vehicle that is suitable for your passengers, luggage and intended journey.
Roadside assistance arrangements vary by Rental Provider.
If the vehicle develops a mechanical problem, you must contact the Rental Provider using the assistance details provided with the vehicle.
You should not arrange repairs or incur significant expenses without the Rental Provider's prior authorisation unless immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect people or property.
Costs resulting from misuse, negligence or circumstances excluded from the Rental Provider's roadside assistance may be charged to you.
Any accident, damage or theft involving the vehicle must be reported to the Rental Provider as soon as possible.
You must also contact the police or other relevant authorities where required by Norwegian law or the Rental Provider's terms.
You must follow the Rental Provider's procedures concerning accident reports, photographs, third-party information and other documentation.
Failure to report an incident promptly or follow the required procedure may affect the applicable insurance coverage.
The Rental Provider is responsible for supplying the vehicle and providing the rental service covered by its rental agreement with you.
This includes responsibility for matters such as:
Any problem relating to the condition, safety or operation of the vehicle must be reported to the Rental Provider as soon as possible so that it has an opportunity to investigate and, where possible, resolve the issue during the rental.
Motorhome Norway may assist with communication between you and the Rental Provider but does not control the Rental Provider's performance of the rental service.
Prices, availability, vehicle specifications, photographs and Rental Provider information displayed on Motorhome Norway may originate from Rental Providers or their booking systems.
We make reasonable efforts to keep this information accurate and up to date, but information may change without notice.
We cannot guarantee that a particular vehicle, price or offer will remain available until the booking has been confirmed.
Minor differences between the photographs or example specifications displayed online and the vehicle supplied do not necessarily constitute a failure to provide the booked vehicle category.
If we become aware of a material error affecting your reservation, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
The website may also contain links to third-party websites. Motorhome Norway is not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of those external sites.
Motorhome Norway acts as a comparison and booking platform.
We do not own, operate, maintain or inspect vehicles supplied by independent Rental Providers.
Your booking agreement is with Motorhome Norway, while your rental agreement is with the Rental Provider.
Complaints relating to your booking, payment or the booking service should be directed to Motorhome Norway.
Issues relating to the condition, safety, mechanical performance or use of the vehicle should be reported directly to the Rental Provider as soon as possible.
Motorhome Norway may assist you in communicating with the Rental Provider and will make reasonable efforts to help resolve the issue. However, the final outcome of any complaint relating to services supplied by an independent Rental Provider may depend on that provider's own investigation and terms.
Except where caused by Motorhome Norway's own breach, negligence or another liability that cannot legally be excluded, Motorhome Norway is not responsible for the acts or omissions of the Rental Provider.
Where a refund is applicable, processing times may vary depending on the Rental Provider and the customer's bank or payment provider. Motorhome Norway will process or facilitate the refund as soon as reasonably possible once the applicable refund has been confirmed. After a refund has been issued, it may take additional time to appear in your account depending on your bank or card issuer.
Motorhome Norway will not be responsible for failures or delays resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, epidemics or pandemics, strikes, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, road closures or changes in law.
Where such circumstances affect a rental, cancellation, modification and refund rights will be governed by the applicable Rental Provider terms and mandatory consumer rights.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Motorhome Norway will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of our website, booking service or a vehicle supplied by a Rental Provider.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

When you use Motorhome Norway, we collect and process the information necessary to provide our booking services, manage your reservation and assist you before, during and after your rental.
When you make a booking, relevant personal information is shared with the Rental Provider and, where necessary, other service providers involved in processing or administering your reservation.
Motorhome Norway does not sell your personal data to third parties.

These Terms & Conditions and the booking services provided by Motorhome Norway are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland.
Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms & Conditions or your use of Motorhome Norway shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Reykjavík, Iceland, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights or jurisdiction rules that apply to you.
The Rental Provider's own rental agreement may be governed by different laws and dispute-resolution provisions.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Motorhome Norway may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements or business practices.
When changes are made, the "Last updated" date displayed with these Terms & Conditions will be updated accordingly.
The version applicable to a booking will generally be the version in force at the time the booking is made, unless a subsequent change is required by law.
We encourage you to review these Terms & Conditions periodically when using our website or making a new booking.
Continued use of Motorhome Norway after changes to these Terms & Conditions constitutes acceptance of the revised terms in relation to your subsequent use of the website and future bookings.
Promotional codes are applied during the booking process and may be subject to a minimum booking value, eligible vehicles, rental dates, promotional periods or a limited number of redemptions.
The specific conditions applicable to each promotion will be communicated together with the promotional code or offer.
Promotional discounts have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded separately.
Codes provided through Motorhome Norway partners or affiliates are applied as a fixed discount amount rather than a percentage and require a minimum booking value of USD 800, or the equivalent in the currency of the promotional code.
Only one promotional code may be used per booking unless a particular promotion expressly states that it may be combined with another offer.
A promotional discount cannot exceed the amount otherwise payable for the booking.
If a booking using a promotional code is cancelled, the value of the discount is not refunded and the promotional code will not normally be reissued unless expressly stated otherwise.
